With just a few weeks left in the regular season, the race to clinch a playoff position is in full force in all three leagues. Some teams have already secured their spots in the playoffs, but almost all divisions are still up for grabs. The BMO Top 10 weekly rankings are constantly shifting, with teams falling in and out of the top spots.
In the WHL, the following teams will definitely be competing in the playoffs:
Edmonton Oil Kings
Medicine Hat Tigers
The OHL has 13 teams who have clinched spots, and the Oshawa Generals have already clinched their division title.
Oshawa Generals (clinched division)
North Bay Battalion
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
Owen Sound Attack
Most recently in the QMJHL, Rimouski Oceanic players Philippe Desrosiers and Michael Joly claimed the titles of CHL Goaltender of the Week and CHL Player of the Week. These players have assisted in ensuring the Oceanic a playoff spot, among these other teams:
Halifax Mooseheads (clinched division)
Cape Breton Screaming Eagles
There is still time for these standings to change, who do you think will win the Memorial Cup?
